Our Team
The Thompson Region Division team is here to provide support to our members in a variety of areas relating to the delivery of primary care in our region. Currently, staff members work remotely day-to-day, however we engage members, MOAs and community by hosting many in-person events at a variety of venues in the region as well as holding virtual events. If you have questions, or require support with any area of your practice, please reach out. Katherine Brown
Katherine joined the Division as Executive Director in 2023, bringing over 20 years of team leadership experience to the role. Katherine is most passionate about supporting members to improve their experience working in the primary care system while working alongside partners to enhance access to primary care for all community members in the region. As Executive Director, Katherine reports to the Board of Directors and oversees all Division staff providing leadership to achieve the Division’s vision and mission and successfully advance the organization towards achieving success in alignment with the strategic plan. Having achieved her Masters In Health Leadership with Royal Roads University, Katherine’s leadership philosophy is to empower staff to work to the full scope of their area of expertise, provide safe spaces that inspire innovation, and support diversity in thinking to achieve great things on behalf of our members.
Casey Donaldson
Born and raised in Kamloops, Casey has a background in Health Care Administration, Staff Engagement & Recognition and Event Management. She is excited to contribute her skills and passion to the Thompson Division team. Outside of work, Casey enjoys quality time with her family, including her 6-year-old twins, and is currently starting a farm on the property she and her boyfriend recently purchased. She loves camping, fishing, golfing, and spending time in her garden. Casey is thrilled to be joining a team, so deeply committed to supporting the wellbeing of the community.
Mallory Gosse
Mallory brings over 15 years of experience in administration, project coordination, and community engagement across housing, education, non-profits, and tourism. Most recently, she served as Project Coordinator with Skwlāx te Secwepemcúl’ecw, where she led housing rebuild efforts after the 2023 Bush Creek East wildfire devastation. Over the years, Mallory has contributed both locally in Chase, through roles such as Secretary at Haldane Elementary and Manager of the Chase & District Chamber of Commerce, and in Kamloops, where she worked with Rocky Mountaineer and Open Door Group supporting large-scale operations and employer engagement initiatives. These experiences have given her a strong foundation in building relationships, supporting teams, and coordinating projects of all sizes. She is eager to bring that same commitment and community spirit to her new role with TRDFP, contributing in a meaningful way to providers and patients across the Thompson Region. Outside of work, Mallory enjoys playing softball, being outdoors with her family, and cheering on her two boys in their sports.
Sarah Graham
Sarah Graham (she/her) is the Primary Care Networks (PCN) Manager for the Thompson Region Division of Family Practice. In this role, she works closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, health system partners, and Division staff to support the implementation of the Thompson Region PCN, with a focus on improving access to primary care and fostering sustainable, community-led solutions. Grateful to live and work on the traditional and unceded Secwepemcúl’ecw territory, Sarah brings a background in higher education leadership and administration. She is inspired by the transformative work underway in primary care across the province and is committed to contributing to healthier, more connected communities. Sarah holds a Master of Education from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys hiking, film festivals, making the most of both sun and snow, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Makenzi Irwin
Makenzi Irwin is passionate about fostering strong relationships between patients and health care providers to ensure the community has access to the healthcare resources they need to thrive. In her role as the Attachment Coordinator, she is the bridge between the HealthLink BC’s Health Connect Registry and primary care providers to support patient attachment across the Thompson Region.
Lindsay Kaluza
Responsible for managing operational aspects of the Division, the Operations Lead coordinates asset management, information technology, human resources, communications, team culture as well as oversees the function and development of the administrative team and Board of Directors support.
Marcy Matthew
With over 20 years of experience in administration, event planning, and project management, Marcy is dedicated to work that strengthens collaboration and supports meaningful change in healthcare. Marcy leads innovative Shared Care projects that help providers and healthcare partners to improve coordination of care. Marcy supports Membership engagement through relationship-building and events that foster connection and shared learning. Marcy also works closely with the MOA community, creating opportunities for engagement and growth. Marcy‘s goals are to ensure all members feel supported, informed, engaged, and connected. Outside of work, Marcy enjoys the outdoor opportunities of the beautiful Secwepemcúl’ecw with gratitude. She is a Mom to two amazing daughters, and their Frenchie Poppy. Marcy looks forward to continuing to contribute creatively to support the goals and mission of the Division
Shelley Sim
Shelley Sim serves as the Community and Recruitment Lead for the Thompson Region Division of Family Practice. With a deep-rooted passion for community engagement, Shelley leverages her extensive experience to foster strong connections within the region. Her role involves collaborating with local physicians, primary care providers, and various health and community organizations to identify needs and opportunities. Shelley is dedicated to community and promoting the many reasons why people LOVE THE LIFE in Thompson Region. She is passionate about keeping physicians connected both professionally and socially. She is innovative in her methods and always willing to weave connections. She is proactive and serves as a dedicated ambassador when welcoming new physicians and students. Her favourite quote is by Margaret Mead and embodies her faith and belief in people and the communities she serves: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world: indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has”. Those interested in exploring practice or educational opportunities in Thompson Region Division will be treated as VIP’s under Shelley’s care.
Tom Skinner
Tom brings a commitment to building robust relationships in order to advance equitable, patient-centred care in his role as Innovation Lead. He supports the operational implementation of the Thompson Region Primary Care Networks by leading a strategy for data collection, analysis, visualization, and evaluation. This cross-organization program support includes project process improvement, resourcing, monitoring, and reporting. Tom’s background includes rural health care, information technology, education program development, event management, and community engagement. When he’s not working, you’ll find Tom and his daughter cycling around Vancouver, the territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.
Kelli Thompson
Kelli brings several years of experience from her work within a Lower Mainland Primary Care Network (PCN), where she was a key contributor to PCN implementation, clinician education, and ongoing provider support. Her background includes a strong focus on disease prevention and management, and she deeply values the benefits of team-based care. Kelli is excited to apply her experience in support of building a PCN in her new community. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University and is currently completing her Master of Health Studies at Athabasca University. Passionate about community wellbeing, Kelli is eager to learn and contribute in meaningful ways. As the Learning Lab and Change Lead, her role supports the integration of primary care resources—including nurses and allied health professionals—across the Thompson region. This includes helping primary care providers understand how and when to access and utilize these resources. A key foundation of this work is fostering a Learning Culture that enhances both patient care and provider wellbeing. The Learning Lab will serve as a safe, supportive space for learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement as the team advances this important work together.
Melanie Todd
Melanie is primarily responsible for planning, facilitating, advocating, and evaluating networks and partnerships between family and specialist physicians in the Thompson Region to ensure effective and efficient programs and services are provided. Key areas of focus include Shared Care projects in the areas of Maternity Care, Cancer Care, Palliative Care, and Eating Disorder Management.
Shawn Wenger
Shawn Wenger, Project Coordinator, reports to the Senior Project Manager and works collaboratively to support all team members, providing timely and accurate administrative and coordination support within the Strategic Projects/Initiatives portfolio, including the Collaborative Services Committee and relevant call groups. This position includes agenda package development, meeting minutes, action trackers, calendar scheduling, hosting virtual meeting platforms, correspondence, and document management. Beyond work, she divides her time between gravel, road, and mountain biking and enjoys being in the woods on the trails. She also maintains her personal training and pottery businesses.
Andrea Windsor
Andrea has a Master of Public Administration from the University of Victoria, a Bachelor of Applied Studies from the University of Waterloo, she is a certified facilitator and has experience in program evaluation. Her professional background includes community engagement and strategic planning with health services, municipalities, rural and Indigenous communities, and resource-based companies, When she is not working, you might find her out hiking, biking, skiing or paddling, likely with an orange dog.
Ania Zubrowska
Ania Zubrowska began her healthcare journey as a Practical Nurse, spending over 15 years working across medicine, emergency, and the public health sector in Alberta. Since moving to Kamloops in 2022, she has contributed as a health educator at two BC colleges before stepping into her role as Project Manager with the Thompson Region Division of Family Practice. Ania is passionate about turning quality improvement ideas into action—advancing healthcare in her community and supporting physicians and specialists in delivering better, more connected care. Outside of work, she’s a wife, mom to two energetic boys, and happiest when she’s near the water.
