The Thompson Region Division of Family Practice staff team recently attended the Joint Collaborative Committee (JCC) Conference in Vancouver.

The conference combined the Family Practice Services Committee Summit, Specialist Services Committee Symposium, and the JCC Showcase (formerly known as the JCC Pre-Forum), offering a unique opportunity to connect, share ideas, and engage with colleagues from across the health care community.

Six of our staff presented storyboards at the conference, showcasing the innovative and thoughtful work happening in our Division.

Special congratulations to Dr. Rob Baker and Ania Zubrowska, Project Manager with the Division, who had their storyboard on ‘Incentivizing Engagement and Recovery: A Contingency Management Pilot’ selected as the ‘People’s Choice’ winner from among 200+ storyboards.

Thank you to our Thompson Region family physicians, Dr. Meghan MacDonald, Dr. Rob Baker, and Dr. Shirley Sze, among other Thompson providers, who also attended the conference to share their knowledge and passion for the work. Together, we are committed to creating a model community for the delivery of family medicine and primary health care in British Columbia.
