The Thompson Region Division of Family Practice (the Division) would like to thank its highly committed and collaborative Board Members for another productive year.

This upcoming fiscal year, the Board will be focusing on leadership development and succession planning, along with ongoing, meaningful resident participation in governance. The Board is also looking forward to welcoming more members stepping into leadership roles within the Division.

Plans to continue advancing Primary Care Network (PCN) implementation will remain a key priority, including the launch of the new Health Hub, which has seen meaningful progress in patient attachment and team-based care.

One of the Division’s priorities for the year is Shared Care initiatives, supporting local clinician leadership, and improving coordination between primary care providers and specialists. Maternity care planning and stabilization efforts across the region also remains a key focus, as well as creating valuable opportunities for members to build a strong, connected community of primary care providers.

Board Chair, Dr. Meghan MacDonald, and Executive Director, Katherine Brown, are eager to connect more closely with members and ensure the work of the Division continues to reflect important priorities and needs. They also look forward to exploring opportunities for members to engage with one another and with the Division and would like to sincerely thank all members for their engagement, collegiality, and dedication to patient care.
